Yoga for Athletes: Daniel Dragnev

The most common injuries for both recreational and professional athletes occur because of overuse and abuse of the muscles. Yoga is a safe and effective way to recover from injuries and prevent new ones by increasing strength, improving flexibility, and relieving stress from the body. This creates optimal health for your muscles to speed repair and maintain elasticity.

Other benefits of yoga for athletes include:

  • Increasing core body strength
  • Improving balance
  • Improving body control
  • Promoting muscular symmetry
  • Lengthening muscles
  • Alleviating back pain
  • Relaxing the body
  • Improving oxygen intake

TruTribe member Daniel Dragnevis a former professional basketball player who, after undergoing two knee surgeries and a shoulder surgery, turned to TruFusion to aid in his recovery. After attending several Tru Hot Pilates classes, he noticed a transformation in his body: “Nothing hurt anymore. It was like night and day.”

Pilates is a great class for people recovering from injuries because it’s a low-impact activity that targets the muscles and stabilizes your joints, and doing it in a heated class improves blood circulation through the body which in turn promotes healing.

Now a regular TruTribe member, Daniel has retained mobility in his joints and even plays tennis recreationally. “Going to TruFusion was a life-changing experience. I learned to understand my body more and because of that, I saw an improvement in my health.”
