TruFusion’s beautiful studio located in St. Louis, MO.

You could say lightning struck twice in the same spot. Mike Borden and Martin Hinton walked through the charred remains of a building on Las Vegas’ Eastern Boulevard – still in ruins after a bolt of lightning caused a fire that eventually led to substantial water damage – looking for a space that fulfilled their vision for a revolutionary fitness studio. As they peered through a gaping hole in the ceiling, it hit them. Four fitness rooms, spa-like locker facilities, all under one roof where members could a fusion of different classes combining multiple styles and modalities. Construction began March 2013.

Flashforward five years later and TruFusion now has plans in the making to open 80 locations coast to coast. Just this past May, a 17,000+ location opened in St. Louis, MO.

“We are excited to bring TruFusion into these new markets, marking the coast-to-coast growth of the brand,” said TruFusion President and COO Jonathan Fornaci. “With our vast diversity of classes fusing multiple fitness styles – offering under one roof what people could otherwise find only by paying for memberships at multiple studios – we look forward to expanding into new markets to provide other consumers with this unique experience.”

Former New York Yankee Alex Rodriguez helped bring national attention to the revolutionary fitness brand when he became a major investor, equity partner, board member and franchise owner. Rodriguez plans to open TruFusions across the state of Florida.

“I’ve been spending a lot of time in Las Vegas and working out regularly at TruFusion and just loving it.  I really saw what made the brand unique, and the opportunity arose to invest my time and belief in the company,” stated Rodriguez. “People toss around the word ‘partnership’ to describe every affiliation. This one is real and significant, and I look forward to working with the entire TruFusion team in the months ahead.”

Today, you can find TruFusion studios in Scottsdale, AZ, San Francisco, CA, Austin, TX, New York City, Philadelphia, Birmingham, AL and multiple locations across Miami, FL. Each venue will feature a unique blend of yoga, cycle, Pilates, kettlebell, barre, boot camp, boxing and other classes, allowing members to customize their experience based on their interests and fitness level.
